These glasses borrow it. Each one is shaped like a cut section of timber, with deep bark-like ridges running down the sides and a heavy, grounded base that sits solid in the hand. Pour an espresso in and the crema sits dark against the clear glass. Add milk and it falls through in ribbons. Nothing about it is ordinary, and it does not need a handle to prove it.
